CICA's Guide to IFRS in Canada **UPDATED for 2009**
This useful guide published by the CICA goes through each section of the CICA Handbook and identifies the equivalent IFRS standard. This publication originally put together in 2008 has been updated as of April 2009. The new edition of this guide provides an overview of the key aspects of the adoption of IFRS, including a comparison of Canadian standards to the related IFRSs (as at July 31, 2008).
Each handbook section covers a comparison of the two standards, discusses any work currently being undertaken in this area and summarizes, where applicable, the significant differences. Although not comprehensive, it is a great place to identify what areas may require further research.
Remember, you don't know what you don't know!!!
